BIND Influence

BIND Influence is focused on advancing advocacy efforts that promote policies supporting community development and economic growth, particularly for diaspora and cross-border businesses. Grounded in BIND’s anchors of Negotiations and Neighborhood Systems, the program recognizes that businesses operate within policy environments that directly shape their ability to grow, invest, and compete. As such, it prioritizes increasing awareness of policies impacting NAO businesses, while creating opportunities to engage in conversations that influence how those policies are developed and implemented. This includes collaboration with partners and institutions that share aligned goals, as well as supporting initiatives that strengthen the broader business and development ecosystem.

The program takes a multi-level approach by engaging with stakeholders across local, federal, and international contexts including governments, business associations, and development partners, to ensure that diaspora business perspectives are represented in key decision-making spaces. As an extension of this work, BIND PAC serves as an affiliate platform that advances the mission of promoting policies that support small and mid-sized businesses, enabling participation in broader civic and policy-related engagements. Through this approach, BIND Influence facilitates access to platforms where policy, business, and community priorities intersect, contributing to a more enabling environment for businesses to operate, expand, and drive economic impact across regions.
